This panel explores how generative AI can be harnessed responsibly across education and training. From European AI infrastructure initiatives to practical strategies for learning and development, and to methodologies that expand human cognitive, creative, and ethical capacities, participants will gain a holistic view of building AI-powered learning ecosystems that put humans at the centre.
Shir Shwartz
Head of Leaning & Development, AMDOCS
Shir Shwartz is the Global Head of Learning and Development at Amdocs, where she leads strategic transformation initiatives such as Learning 3.0, AI powered learning agents, and the transition toward a skills driven organization. With over a decade of experience in EdTech and corporate learning, Shir has successfully built and led large L&D teams, designed innovative learning ecosystems, and driven organizational impact through creativity, technology, and forward thinking practices. Shir holds a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Education and Sociology.
Madeline Shellgren
Director of Outreach and Development, Online Learning Consortium
For over 15 years, Madeline has centered her work around learning and development. She's known for her dedication to inventive and impactful community engagement approaches, personalized learning pathways, experiential learning, and globally informed models for both leadership development and relationship management. And she deeply believes that learning can be fun. Madeline's expertise spans learning theory and experience design, online learning theory, design thinking, and universal design for learning theory. Her doctoral work explored "The Rhetorics of Asynchronous Digital Learning Environments," with her dissertation itself designed as an educator professional development experience. She combines this deep understanding of learning theory, practice, and narrative to create unique learning experiences that are both effective and human. Madeline serves as Director of Outreach and Development at Online Learning Consortium.
Johannes Schleiss
Program Manager AI in Education, SURF
Johannes Schleiss is Program Manager for AI and Education at SURF, the IT cooperative of education and research in the Netherlands and works on Insight and Strategy around AI and Data at Npuls. Prior to that, he completed his PhD in AI and education at the Artificial Intelligence Lab at Magdeburg University, where he coordinated the development of the new cooperative study program AI Engineering and worked on transformative future scenarios for education.

Philipp Höllermann
Chief Transformation Officer, DWG - A Klett Company
Philipp Höllermann is an expert in digital transformation, e-learning, and higher education. His work focuses on digitizing (learning) processes, mobile, social and blended learning, open innovation, and artificial intelligence. Mr. Höllermann is a member of several digital learning initiatives, such as the German Forum for Higher Education in the Digital Age, the Network for Digital Education, and Bitkom, and regularly appears as a speaker on topics related to online learning and digital transformation. He currently works as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) at DWG, one of the largest education holdings in Germany.
