Introduction

      1. This Privacy and Cookies Policy sets out the privacy and cookies policy of ICWE II GmbH, with the Company Registration Number No. HRB 81670, who are the organisers of OEB (Online Educa), and whose registered address is Leibnizstrasse 32, 10625 Berlin, Germany, and who with its subsidiaries control this website, act as data processors and are the data controllers for the purpose of the Data Protection Act.

      2. ICWE II GmbH is committed to protecting the privacy of its users and the purpose of this Privacy Policy is to describe how ICWE II GmbH uses personal information that is submitted to ICWE II GmbH.

      3. By providing your personal information to ICWE II GmbH, you consent to the collection and use of it and any other information provided to ICWE II GmbH in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If at any time you wish to change the uses of your personal information to which you have consented, please contact us at @email.

      4. ICWE II GmbH may revise this Privacy Policy at any time by posting an update on its website(s). Collection of Personal Information

The types of personal information collected and stored by ICWE II GmbH might include your name, date of birth, e-mail address, postal address, telephone number, fax number and credit/debit card details to the extent permitted by the German Federal Data Protection Act 2017 and related legislation (BDSG).

      2. ICWE II GmbH (or any of its sub-contractors) may collect personal information about you in the following ways: 

2.1. any data which you provide when you complete and submit an application to ICWE II GmbH to register for one of its conferences, subscribe to receive email alerts or to initiate any other contact to ICWE II GmbH;

2.2. any data that you provide via postings to forums and blogs and any other posting that you make to an ICWE II GmbH website (in such circumstances the information posted by you will, of course, also be available to users of the website throughout the world) 

2.3. any other data which you provide to ICWE II GmbH when you enquire about our activities, email, telephone or write to us or otherwise provide us with personal information.

2.4. during any other transaction with us.

      3. ICWE II GmbH (or any of its sub-contractors) may also receive information about you from third parties, for example a friend who wants to tell you about one of our websites.

      1. ICWE II GmbH will keep your information on a secure server. The technology that ICWE II GmbH uses and the security policies which ICWE II GmbH has implemented are intended to safeguard your information from unauthorised access and improper use.

      3. Your personal data will be held and used by ICWE II GmbH, and any third party hosting provider acting on its behalf, in order to run the conference(s)/exhibition(s) and for analysing visitor/delegate/exhibitor traffic with a view to improving the event experience for customers.

Use of Your Information

      1. ICWE II GmbH may use your personal information (subject in each case to the requirements of the BDSG) for the following purposes:

1.1. administering your website/participation account(s) and otherwise in connection with any service for which you have provided your information, including any email alerts, transactions with us and competitions and promotions that you take part in;

1.2. responding to any enquiry you make;

1.3. subject to your consent, sending you newsletters and/or alerts and information regarding ICWE II GmbH’s or any third party's future services (in all formats to which you have consented eg post, email, text); and

1.4. for generating aggregated statistics about users, traffic patterns etc of the ICWE II GmbH website(s) and other services and developing ICWE II GmbH' marketing plans.

      2. ICWE II GmbH may also disclose your information (subject in each case to the requirements of the BDSG) as follows:

2.1. if you have given your consent for ICWE II GmbH to do so, to other selected organisations to enable them to contact you or send you information by post, telephone and/or email;

2.2. to any service providers, sub-contractors and agents appointed by ICWE II GmbH to perform the above functions on its behalf and in accordance with its instructions;

2.3. to third parties selected by ICWE II GmbH as part of aggregated and anonymised statistics about users, traffic patterns etc of the ICWE II GmbH website(s);

2.4. to such individuals and/or bodies as necessary to ensure ICWE II GmbH' compliance with any applicable law, regulation, legal proceeding or governmental request;

(where you post material that does or may constitute a criminal offence, breach the rights of a third party, give rise to a civil action or breach the Terms & Conditions of the applicable website and as otherwise necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of ICWE II GmbH and its customers), to any relevant authority or third party requiring ICWE II GmbH to disclose the identity of or locate anyone posting such material on an ICWE II GmbH website; and

2.6. to any individual making a subject information request to ICWE II GmbH.

If you allow your visitor badge to be scanned by an exhibitor or sponsor when at the event, you will be providing the exhibitor or sponsor with your personal data, which they may use to contact you about their products or services and may transfer this data outside of the European Economic Area for these purposes.

      4. In the event that ICWE II GmbH (or a relevant part of ICWE II GmbH) is acquired by or merges with another company, your personal information may be passed to the purchasing/merging company amongst the transferred business assets. This will enable your relationship to continue with the relevant ICWE II GmbH business despite the change of ownership.

      5. In processing your information in accordance with the above, ICWE II GmbH may (to the extent permitted by BDSG) send it outside the European Economic Area (“EEA”). ICWE II GmbH will take all reasonable steps to ensure that in such circumstances your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy but your attention is drawn to the fact that the laws of countries outside the EEA may provide lesser protection to your information than Germany.
