Open Badge Passport - Reinventing the ePortfolio with Open Badges
Eric Rousselle (CEO at Discendum) has contributed to the development of online learning solutions in both academic and corporate worlds for over two decades. In 2001, he established Discendum with a group of other online learning innovators. Over the years, the company has become one of the most significant eLearning service providers in the Finnish market and continues to provide sustainable solutions that support lifelong learning and competence development in various sectors. In recent years, Rousselle has promoted the awareness and usage of Open Badges and ePortfolios through seminars, presentations, articles and collaboration projects in both national and international contexts.

Europortfolio: Bridging the Gaps and Joining the Dots
Igor Balaban is Assistant Professor at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics. He published over 30 scientific and professional papers and 4 book chapters. His special interest are e-learning course evaluations, learner centered approaches (ePortfolios and Open Badges) and individual learning paths using e-assessment and learning analytics. Has experience in several international and national projects (such as FP6, Tempus, IPA, COST, LLP). He is one of the authors of several surveys that deal with quality and usability issues in e-learning and the successful deployment of ePortfolios. He coordinates Europortfolio: A European Network of Eportfolio Experts and Practitioners, a LLP KA3-ICT project. One of the latest deliverables of the project dealing with the Maturity Framework for Learning spaces was referenced in Horizon 2015 report.

Analysis of PLE in a Spanish Sample of University Students
Dr. Prendes is educationalist and Professor in Educational Technology. Head of the Group of Research in Educational Technology (GITE) at the University of Murcia (Spain) and also Coordinator of the Master in Educational Technolgy and the PhD Programme on Educational Technoloy in the same university.
She has participated on diverse research national and international projects, related with application of pedagogical principles to the development of the education processes through Internet, assessment, and implementation of ICT in traditional educational institutions. Nowadays, she is working on different International PhD programs with universities and coordinating different projects about models and strategies for learning; ICT and Multiculturalism; Implementation of Learning contents in Schools and university teacher’s training on TEL. Richard Powers, Professor Emeritus of Literature, taught online literature, composition and information literacy classes from 1997-2014 for University of Maryland's University College, where he first started classroom teaching in 1988. Additionally, as Senior Faculty Trainer at UMUC, he trained over 3,000 faculty with the University of Maryland to teach online from 1998-2014.
Currently he teaches at Stuttgart University in the American Cultural Studies Department and online for City Colleges of Chicago.
