Richard Powers, Professor Emeritus of Literature, taught online literature, composition and information literacy classes from 1997-2014 for University of Maryland's University College, where he first started classroom teaching in 1988. Additionally, as Senior Faculty Trainer at UMUC, he trained over 3,000 faculty with the University of Maryland to teach online from 1998-2014.
Currently he teaches at Stuttgart University in the American Cultural Studies Department and online for City Colleges of Chicago.
