Dan Kohen-Vacs

Dr. Dan Kohen-Vacs holds a Ph.D. in Computer and Information Science from Linnaeus University (LNU, Sweden). He is the Head of the bachelor's program, senior lecturer, and researcher in the Faculty of Instructional Technologies at the Holon Institute of Technology in Israel. Dan is one of the faculty founders, inaugurator, and leader of the technological branch of studies. He led numerous projects that resulted in the deployment of environments used for Technologically Enhanced Learning (TEL).
His ongoing efforts focus on innovative solutions supported by various technologies including Full-Stack development (Web), Mobile applications, Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality, Internet of Things (IoT), and Humanoid and Social Robotics.
Dan conducts his efforts while fostering his academic circle of excellence, inviting students from all backgrounds, and providing them with unique opportunities to acquire knowledge and tools enabling them to conceptualize, design, and technologically develop TEL environments aimed at realistic settings.
Dr. Kohen-Vacs is ongoingly involved in national and international projects. He was also involved in research activities conducted in the framework of EU programs and projects as well as in those related to the German-Israeli Foundation for Scientific Research and Development.
