Matteo Uggeri
Gamification & e-Learning Strategist, Fondazione Politecnico di Milano, Italy
I’m a designer specialized in the field of innovation in education, collaboration, and music. I graduated in multimedia communication design at Politecnico di Milano University, Italy, where I also work since 1999.
I've been dealing with e-Learning and learning innovation for over twenty years, first for METID (Centre for Learning Methodologies and Technologies of Politecnico di Milano University) and then for the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano.
My areas of action include open education, gamification, the intertwining of creativity and learning as well as the transitions between school, university and work.
I've been involved, over the years, as project manager/researcher in projects about innovative technologies in open education, soft skills/digital soft skills for employability, game-based learning/serious games and other topics. I research and carry out experiments in the field of the so-called 'gamification', organising workshops for children and adults on the potential of games and game jams and game storms in learning.
I’m part of the scientific committee of the eXploring eLearning event, member of the Open Education Italy network and of the Editorial Board of "Bricks", an online magazine for school teachers on innovation for didactics.
I teach at the DOL, Online Master in Educational Technologies.
I’m the author of “The e-Learning manual. Strategic guide for school and corporate training”(Apogeo, 2020), and I hold courses for Instructional Designers for Apogeo itself.
I’m Senior Gamification and Learning Consultant for the Grifo Multimedia company.
I have a long experience in presentations, speeches and chairing in several conferences such as Online Educa, EDEN or national events.
Beside all these activities I’m a musician and producer, working with Italian and foreign artists and playing live in national and international contexts.
