Thea Payome has been a freelance journalist and author for 30 years. After studying political science at the Hochschule für Politik in Munich and completing an editorial traineeship, she worked for print media, radio and in documentary film.
Since 1997, she has devoted herself increasingly to the New Economy, among others in the field of eLearning. In 1999 she became head of the department "Startup & Finance" at NET-Investor, NET-Investor-Verlag Munich and later became head of the department "International Markets".
In May 2001, she was awarded the Journalist Prize at the German Startup Days in Berlin. The European eLearning Award "eureleA" followed in February 2004 in Karlsruhe.
Since 2004, Thea Payome has been the publisher and editor-in-chief of the industry information service CHECK.point eLearning, which observes, analyzes and describes eLearning markets in a German and an English edition and contributes significantly to industry development and community building.
