Dipl- Soz. Alexander Schulz coordinates the E-Learning and E-Examinations unit at the Center for Digital Systems (CeDiS), Freie Universität Berlin. His field of work and research interests during the last 15 years center around the wholistic connection of technology and teaching, learning as well as assessment in higher education. Alexander's main focus lies on the topic of digital tests, assessments and examinations. Besides operating the E-Examination Centers at Freie Universität Berlin, he also currently coordinates federal funded projects like the AI project “Technology for Competence (tech4comp)” as well as the Berlin University Alliance (BUA) project “E-Assessment Alliance (EA2)”. Alexander was also closely involved in the development, introduction and deployment of the remote e-examination concept "E-Examinations@Home“ at Freie Universität Berlin which already provided more than 27'000 remote exams for students between July 2020 and May 2021.
