Katelijn Nijsmans fell in love with the brain and its countless possibilities whilst studying neuroscience at the University of Maastricht (NL).

While conducting fMRI research, she was astonished by our malleable brains providing all of us with the opportunity to keep learning, changing and improving. It is not dull solidified gray matter, it is an organism we can shape and develop by intentionally training it.

Today, as managing partner of the training and research company, The Tipping Point and as a higher education lecturer, she attempts on a daily basis to make scientific brain knowledge accessible and relevant for companies and individuals. Hereby she wants to help making certain that this valuable knowledge does not remain confined to the realm of scientific labs and academic journals. Companies, working adults and students alike should be able to know and use the eye opening insights neuroscience offers us and which defines our lives the most.
