Dana Doyle

Director, MITx Program, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Open Learning / MITx, USA

Dana Doyle earned her B.F.A. from Pratt Institute, New York in 1992 and is currently earning an MEd from Northeastern University in Boston. Over the past 20 years her work has been focused on digital solutions design and management. Ms. Doyle has been working at MIT in the MITx group for over 4 years and has held roles from Project Management of MOOC creation to her current role as the Director of the MITx Program. As the Director of the MITx Program Ms. Doyle manages a team of 18 to support faculty in creating MOOCs. Ms. Doyle also works closely with the Manager of the Residential Program as MOOC work often overlaps with residential use of digital material. Her work includes identifying pilot projects within MITx to help improve MOOC production and quality. Additional areas of interest for MITx include how to use MOOCs to support educational uses beyond MITx, easier access to material by non-MIT faculty, MOOC usage for blended learning and non-traditional learning styles. Her work to support these efforts includes working with educational entrepreneurs, MIT alumni, business and other educational institutions.
