Manuel Freire has a PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). His research interests are centered on Information Visualization, Human-Computer Interaction, Online Learning and Serious Games. In 2008, he enjoyed a a postdoctoral Fulbright grant at the University of Maryland's HCIL. In 2010, he became a member of the e-
UCM research group at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, where he is an Associate Professor since 2013.
