Thomas Hodel

Prof. Dr. Thomas Hodel was born in 1967. He received a degree in teaching, followed by a Master's degree and a PHD in Computer Science, all in Switzerland. He worked at his PHD at the University of Notre Dame, in Indiana, U.S.A., and at the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York.
Prof. Thomas Hodel worked as a visiting professor at the Free University of Bolzano, and he worked at the ETH Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich. He was Head of Application Architects at Pilkington, UBS and CSC. He was Head of Research and Development at Continental (formerly Siemens). He has been Dean and Director of the Department of Business, Health and Social Work at BFH Bern University of Applied Sciences in Switzerland since 2009.
His publications include journal articles, books, and conference publications on subjects such as collaborative online editing, online communications, computer ethics, and the IT support of work processes.
