Bryan Hopkins

Bryan is a consultant with extensive experience in needs assessment, training strategy development, evaluation and programme design. For several years he worked as the Senior Learning Solutions Officer at the UNHCR training centre in Budapest.
He works primarily with international organisations in the humanitarian and development sectors, and has completed projects for many United Nations agencies, as well as several international development NGOs and various United Kingdom governmental departments and private sector organisations.
He has written three books on training and HR, the most recent being Cultural Differences and Improving Performance (2009), which covers cross-cultural issues in the TNA process.
He has a particular interest in using systems thinking techniques to improve the design and evaluation of training programmes, and is currently writing a book looking at how to use systems thinking to carry out TNAs and evaluation. This will be published during 2016.
