Tech LAB on Motivating Learners Through Video

If you are eager to learn practical methods to make instructional videos this is a tech lab you cannot miss. It will demonstrate how to present theories and how to use handwriting-tools.
Facilitators will demonstrate some of the tools that are typically used, and explain how simple measures can be taken in order to motivate and engage learners in particular for specific subject matter such as mathematics.

Peer Sverre Andersen
Associate professor, University College of South-East Norway, Norway
Peer Andersen is associate professor in mathematics didactics at Department of Teacher Education at University College of South-East Norway. Andersen has 23 years’ experience from teacher education, and has in the last six years taken a central part in developing the online teacher education programme at the university college. Andersen has given several presentations demonstrating the technical possibilities within online teaching. In the autumn of 2015, Andersen was awarded the Norwegian Online Teacher of the Year prize by the organization Flexible Education Norway (“Fleksibel utdanning Norge”, in Norwegian).

Nils Henry Rasmussen
Associate Professor, University College of South-East Norway, Norway
Nils Henry Rasmussen is associate professor in mathematics at the teacher education at University College of South-East Norway. He has a PhD in mathematics from the University of Bergen, and one year from the teacher certificate program in Bergen. Rasmussen has since autumn 2011 been involved in online mathematics courses, involving a variety of teaching methods. He also does research in mathematics and mathematics education, involving both algebraic geometry as well as the study of teaching cultures found in Asian countries.
Siv Svendsen
Assistant professor, University College of South-East Norway, Norway
Siv Svendsen is an educator with 10 years teaching experience from lower- and upper secondary education in Norway. She has a Master in Teaching and Education from the University of Bergen. The last 3 years she has been an assistant professor in teacher education at the University College of South-East Norway.
