How can we use AI to create compelling stories without losing the human voice behind them? In an era of increasingly generic AI-generated content, this hands-on workshop explores how human creativity, authenticity and judgement can remain at the centre of AI-assisted storytelling.
Working in small groups, participants will use the Save the Cat! storytelling framework to develop ideas from one-liners into four-frame storyboards and ultimately a 60-second multimedia story. Using smartphones, shared content libraries and multimodal AI tools, they will explore practical workflows for researching, creating, editing and repurposing content.
Through demonstrations, hands-on activities, peer feedback and gamified challenges, participants will explore mobile narrative craft, data sovereignty and multimodal content creation. They will leave with practical frameworks and transferable workflows for combining human creativity with AI-assisted production.
Important: Participants should complete a Tech Audit prior to arriving at the workshop. Details are available via the OEB26 Tech Audit.
