Speakers will examine how technology risks hollowing out deep learning, how algorithmic governance under digital capitalism fragments knowledge and commodifies learners, and how the role of human expertise itself is being redefined.

Elsa is a passionate educator with a background in physics and a Masters in Education. Since 2016, she has collaborated with the European Space Agency’s Education Office, where she manages international school projects and develops innovative, space-themed learning resources.
She believes education has the power to transform lives and advocates for dynamic, learner-centered approaches that spark curiosity and foster critical thinking. Her mission is to make high-quality education accessible, inspiring, and empowering for every learner.
Katarzyna Kowalik

A philologist in English and German with a teaching specialization and an andragogist by training, she has over 15 years of experience as an e-learning expert. Her career began with designing language courses and has since expanded to include e-learning, classroom, hybrid, and VR training solutions for many Forbes 500 companies. She has co-authored a book, contributing a chapter on practical tips and tricks for using AI in foreign language learning. She also conducts workshops on AI, introducing companies and their employees to the effective use of artificial intelligence.
Veli Hillman
Founder, EDDS Institute
Dr. Velislava Hillman teaches at Goldsmiths, University of London and is founder of EDDS Institute where she investigates and evaluates educational technology and AI in education. Dr. Hillman’s research and publications focus on the impact of advancing digital systems on children’s learning and wellbeing. She is the author of Taming Edtech, with Bloomsbury Academic.
