Peter Dekker works as an educational consultant at the Amsterdam University of Applied Science, where he combines two functions. The first is as innovation manager at the HvA Academie, a corporate university within the larger University. The second is for the Innovationpartners: a group of ambassadors who support blended learning at the University.

A physiotherapist by profession and now Director in the School of Medicine, University of Liverpool, Susan has worked in a number of executive higher education and healthcare roles where her key to success has been in the engagement of others and making collaborative partnerships work. She has an MA in Healthcare Law and an MPhil from the University of Manchester and has worked extensively overseas engaging with Universities and healthcare organisations to create innovations in education that meet the needs of today’s leaders and practitioners.
Kati Kasanen
Senior Lecturer, University of Eastern Finland
Kati’s responsibilities as a senior lecturer primarily revolve around teaching and guidance, with a particular focus on initial guidance and planning for university studies throughout the entire academic journey. Kati actively contributes to pedagogical development in her daily teaching practice and is a member of the UEF’s “Excellent Teaching Practitioner” network. Additionally, from 2021 to 2024, Kati dedicates 50% of her time to facilitating online pedagogy.
In terms of research, Kati’s interests intersect with the concept of ability. She specializes in evaluating educational practices and conducts socio-psychological and educational policy analyses related to abilities, including entrepreneurial abilities, within the context of education. Drawing from her prior work experience, Kati recognizes the importance of the ability concept, particularly in school and educational psychology. Recently, she has also explored multidisciplinary approaches in research and teaching across different faculties. Her facilitator role has sparked an interest in distance learning and related issues, such as exam practices and trust. Also, Kati and the facilitator team studies their own work and its impact. Jennifer Johnson

Jennifer is joint Programme Director of M.Sc. Healthcare Leadership, a wholly online programme.
Jennifer Johnson is an Associate Professor in Human Resource Management and Director of Studies for M.Sc. Healthcare Leadership in the Management School. She holds a PhD from the University of Liverpool which focused on cross-cultural learning, an MA in Strategic HR, PG Diploma in Coaching, is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (FCIPD). She has won a Faculty Teaching Award for her high quality teaching, embedding employability into the curriculum.
As Director of Studies for M.Sc. Healthcare Leadership (online), she co-created the programme with the Head of Postgraduate Studies in the School of Medicine. This involved extensive discourse about the interface between medicine and leadership, as well as the development of international teaching strategies to enable exemplary learning experiences. Prior to this role, she was Director of Studies for M.Sc. Human Resource Management programme; her role included the mapping of the programme against CIPD standards in order to gain Level 7 CIPD accreditation for the course. Additionally, she was CIPD Branch Chair for Merseyside and North Cheshire, before being Council Representative.
Before an academic career, she had extensive industry experience in the fields of recruitment and Organisational Development. As Head of HRD in a multinational organisation, she devised the strategy and operational delivery mechanisms. Furthermore, as a qualified business coach, she ran her own SME, working closely with many Directors and business leaders to ensure that their people strategy was aligned with their business strategy. She is adept at building strong working relationships with key figures in both HR and healthcare. She has worked with Dr. Meredith Belbin, creator of Belbin Team Roles, co-creating learning materials about exemplary teams.

Işıl Boy Ergül
Founder, Teacher X
Dr. Işıl Boy Ergül completed her undergraduate studies in English Language Teaching at Istanbul University, her master’s degree in Educational Technologies at the University of Manchester, and her PhD in Educational Technologies at Bahçeşehir University, where she also taught postgraduate courses. In 2015, Dr. Ergül was recognized as an Apple Distinguished Educator. She has served as a lecturer and advisor at Yıldız Technical University and worked as a teacher trainer for Pilgrims in the UK.
For over a decade, Dr. Ergül has delivered a wide range of educational technology training programs both in Turkey and internationally. She is the founder of the Educational Technologies Summit (ETZ), the teacher training platform TeacherX, and CertifiX, a blockchain-based certificate management system for students. Through TeacherX, she has collaborated with over 500 schools and supported more than 25,000 teachers.
Dr. Ergül is also the Turkish ambassador for the European Training Foundation, where she leads content development for the AI group. Recently, she translated UNESCO’s “Guidance for Generative AI in Education and Research” into Turkish. She delivers keynote speeches at conferences on educational technology and AI in education.
