Your Guide through the Future Skills Landscape: European Policy Approaches towards Digital Skills

This panel, hosted by the European Commission’s European Digital Education Hub, focuses on the future of digital skills which education and training professionals and students need to thrive in a rapidly changing sector and job market.

The session will provide you with the broader context needed for the discussions we will be having here at OEB and beyond, in our daily professional lives.

Speakers in this session will include:

  • Anusca Ferrari from DG EAC at the European Commission who will introduce the Digital Education Action Plan. She will emphasize the crucial role of skills in successfully implementing the plan
  • Rasmus Benke-Aberg from Stifterverband who will center his discussion on "Skills for Educators" and "Skills for Knowledge Workers". He will also shed light on the initiatives and efforts of the Digital Education Hub in these domains and zoom in on the best practices identified by the 3500+ person strong Digital Education Hub community.
  • Jessica Niewint Gori from Indire will delve into the skills required for AI within educational institutions, contextualizing his/her discussion within the broader conversations occurring at the Digital Education Hub.
  • Peter Fagerström from Educraftor

    will speak about digital skills and innovation, the difficulties of innovative digital companies to recruit digitally competent employees, as well as how the European Commission’s policy initiatives are relevant (or not) for the private sector.
