9 months: a trading company's transition to a virtual world

As a global L&D manager supporting more than 14,000 employees in 66 locations with a dispersed team of 7, 2020 has presented some interesting challenges for the L&D department to face the bullet and learn itself how to thrive and be agile. During this short presentation, I will talk about how me and my team responded to events as they unfolded, sharing insights and discoveries that helped us to reinvent ourselves and garner increased relevance and impact.
Richard Cannane
HR GLobal L&D MAnager, Trafigura PTE Ltd, Branch Office Geneva, Switzerland
Born in Australia, and holding conjoint Swiss and Australian citizenship, Richard Cannane is Trafigura's Global Learning and Development Manager since October 2015. He started with the company in 1999 and has held various positions including Global Operations Manager while managing global teams and logistics strategies across more than 30 countries. Richard is a certified executive coach and holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of NSW as well as an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland. He speaks competent Mandarin Chinese, French and German.
