Gabriel Schaepman
Learning & Development Consultant, Swiss Re, Switzerland
Gabriel is a results-oriented learning and development leader with more than 30 years' experience.
Most recently, he designed outcome-based in-house MOOCs at Swiss Re, a leading provider of reinsurance and other insurance-based forms of risk transfer. He was head of e-Learning, developing new approaches to learning and hiring trainers to support delivery of global development programs. He published the award-winning iPad APP "Sales&More" and developed experiential learning simulations in the leadership area. He has created a new approach for the 70/20/10-concept in the area of corporate finance and early on introduced TouchPoint management for HR.
Lifelong learning and meaningful employment are what Gabriel lives and breathes: over the years he has earned three Masters degrees, studying economics, corporate finance, Human Resources, change, agile and corporate learning. As well as working full-time in a Fortune 500 financial services firm, he has founded a start-up. In his spare time he mentors unemployed people en route to finding work and is also a volunteer mentor for a refugee from a very different culture. Gabriel lives in Switzerland.

Pasquale De Caprio
Learning & Development Specialist, Bank J. Safra Sarasin, Switzerland
Pasquale De Caprio is a Learning & Development Specialist at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, where he manages the Group Learning Management System and coordinates all the mandatory training activities of the Bank.
Pasquale has a Ph.D. in History and after years of scientific research in Italy and Germany worked in Berlin for the chemical company BASF among others.
Pasquale supports the Bank to meet the regulatory training requirements and helps the employees to further develop their skills. Furthermore, he is very active in promoting the Corporate Sustainability within the bank through internal and external staff events.

In my current position, I assume global responsibility for the learning & leadership development department at Bank Julius Baer, that we also call the ‘JB Academy’. Julius Baer is a leading Swiss Private Banking Group, with focus on servicing and advising sophisticated private clients from around the world.
I have over 20 years experience in the financial industry and have worked for a Swiss fintech start-up, a multinational financial service company and a private bank. I joined Human Resources only in mid 2017. In previous years, I worked in business in various positions, either in investment research, financial product development, managing big front projects or relationship management.
I obtained my Master in Business administration from the University of Basel and earned my PhD in Economics & Finance from the University of St. Gallen (HSG).
