Six Learning Characteristics of the Modern Worker: How to Thrive in the Future Workplace?
For the past 2 years Gent has been developing and shaping the research methods and agenda at Towards Maturity (TM). During these 2 years, he has authored and co-authored a number of research and consultancy papers to do with workplace learning, performance, the L&D sector overall, modern learner, and the learning organisation. Apart from developing the benchmark process and analytical capabilities of Towards Maturity, he heads the Learning Landscape Audit, a programme investigating the learning behaviours, characteristics, tactics, and outputs of individuals. To date there are over 41,000 respondents/learners worldwide cutting through a variety of sectors and industries. He has presented some of the insights most recently at the 2018 Learning Technologies Conference in London. His most recent publication focused on how top learning companies achieved greater performance and productivity through specific tactics and behaviours. He bring an energy and enthusiasm rarely seen in geeky people. Gent is great a applying data solutions to business problems.

She has been working in the Learning and Development domain throughout her career and has extensive experience in developing diverse types of learning solutions to address the needs of various populations. In her current role as an Instructional Design team lead at Amdocs, a global organization that employs Baby Boomers, Millennials and Gen Z populations, she is developing learning solutions that support employees’ ever-growing challenge to keep up with the rapid changes in technology and knowledge growth that characterize the digital era. One of these learning solutions is the Lifelong Learning Corporate MOOC she will be presenting at the conference.
