Tech LAB: Made by You: The Future of AR for Education

This BYOD Tech Lab allows you to experience when and why it’s worth the time, effort, and money to take augmented reality equipment to your classroom. AR can provide unique opportunities for learners to engage with content and experience activies augmenting real scenarios with digital information. If you come prepared with a concrete idea to integrate a AR experience into your curriculum this session will provide you with the chance, under the guidance of experts in the field, to try out what a free app can do and how you can plan to maximise the learning potential of AR for your learners.

Associate Professor, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, Spain
I'm a teacher and researcher at the University Carlos III of Madrid. I hold a degree and a PhD in Computer Science from the Universidad de Deusto and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid respectively. I also completed with distinction a Master in game design and programming.
My research activity has been mainly focus in the area of technologies for education. My main interest are in the field of serious and educational games, and on exploring the posibilities that virtual and mixed realities offer for supporting educational processess.
