Neil Peirce

Supporting Career Development for all by Improving Leadership through Adaptive Games
Dr Neil Peirce is a Research Fellow and Technology Lead at the Learnovate Centre, hosted at Trinity College Dublin. Educated at Trinity College Dublin he holds a PhD in Personalised Educational Games, a MSc. in Multimedia Systems, and a B.A. (Mod) in Computer Science.
As a Technology Lead at Learnovate he has implemented projects in the areas of web-based personalised learning, game-based learning, learning analytics, analytics visualisation, and API design and usability. These projects have addressed learners in early childhood, schools, and corporate learning settings. He has extensive experience in software development including web development, game development, expert systems, service oriented architectures, and API design and usability. Neil is a committee member of the ECGBL and has published in international conferences including ICALT, ECTEL, ECGBL, HCI International and DIGITEL.
Neil currently coordinates the DEVELOP (H2020) project. He is also an expert reviewer for EC projects in technology enhanced learning, and has worked on research projects including ELEKTRA (FP6) and the Centre for Next Generation Localisation (SFI).

Alec Serlie
Research Director, GITP-Research, The Netherlands
Supporting Career Development for all by Improving Leadership through Adaptive Games
Alec W. Serlie is Research Director at GITP, one of the largest HRM-consultancy firms of the Netherlands. He is also assistant professor at the department of Work & Organizational Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Educated as a cognitive and medical psychologist, he has extensive experience both in psychological and organizational consultancy. His work is mainly focused on developing new practical tools, for recruitment, selection and training purposes. This is achieved not only by applying traditional psychometric measures, such as questionnaires, but also by using modern methods, such as SJT’s and serious games (see http://youtu.be/mmdi4gYeLzI ).
His recent research focusses on the notion of Corporate Personality and the fit between individuals and the organization which they work in. Furthermore, his line of research is focused on the use of Social Media in selection-setting. Previous research, together with fellow-researchers, has been on a general personality factor, validity of new selection methods, video resumes and the Dark Side of Psychology. Stephanie Lambert

Assessment in Online Learning: Achieving Quality and Fitness for Purpose
Stephanie is part of the EOCCS Management Team at EFMD Global Network and has worked on the design, implementation and organisation of EFMD Global Network’s Online Course Certification Scheme as part of a small international virtual team.
Previously Stephanie has studied Psychology (BSc), International Management (MSc) and Business and Managment (MRes) to then obtaining her PhD from Loughborough University (funded by the Economic and Social Reserach Council, ESRC and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, CIMA). Stephanie continues to collaborate on research projects with The School of Business and Economics, Loughborough University, in understanding professional careers in new organisational forms and aspects of technology enhanced learning for undergraduate students.
Stephanie also consults in quality assurance in courses for children’s therapists at postgraduate level for Play Therapy UK and Play Therapy International, the largest and most progressive organisation governing therapeutic play and play therapy in the United Kingdom, who also offer a Blended Learning MA course for therapists.
