Health, Safety, Admission
Online Educa Berlin 2021 is returning to the Hotel InterContinental for a live, in-person conference and exhibition. Safety for all participants, security and your health are a priority at OEB.
We have planned OEB21 based on Germany's health and safety regulations for conferences and exhibitions in order to ensure that the event will continue to offer you all the features you are accustomed to and allow you to partake, engage and interact fully whilst offering you the security of a safe and risk free environment. Additional or modified protocols will be announced here and registered participants will be informed before the event via email as well .
Entering Germany
Due to constant changes in the regulations for travellers coming to Germany from different countries, depending on local circumstances that may affect any new ruling for entering Germany, we advise everyone to keep up to date with the latest travel information and regulations for the countries you are travelling from, transiting via and also for Germany.
The link for Germany’s travel rules can be found here and is constantly updated, depending on the latest developments of the pandemic: https://www.einreiseanmeldung.de.
Please note that everyone is required to wear an FFP2 mask in public transport in Germany.
Our protocols are in line with national and local measures and would like to inform you of what these mean for you and your participation at the conference, so that you will know what to expect when you arrive in Berlin.
In order to provide the most safe environment, only vaccinated or recovered people will be admitted and a negative test is required as well.
The '2G' rule will apply to all OEB participants. '2G' stands for Genesen (German for recovered) or Geimpft (German for vaccinated). So along with your ID, you will need to be able to present one of the below at any point of entry to the venue:
- Proof of recovery of COVID-19 + an Identification Card
- Proof of full vaccination of COVID-19 + an Identification Card
As well as:
- A negative PCR or antigen test
Proof of full vaccination and recovery must be digitally verifiable. Printed QR codes are also digitally verifiable. For a link to an online form where you can upload your proof, please email @email (do not email certificates to this address, as they can only be processed when uploaded by you in the online form for this purpose).
Upon entry you will need to present proof of vaccination or recovery and a negative antigen test not older than 24 hours or a negative PCR test not older than 72 hours. Limited testing capacities are available at the venue.
Please find a regularly updated map of additional centers on https://www.direkttesten.berlin.

Please note that medical or FFP2 face-masks are required when walking around.
Registration procedure
Please make sure to arrive in time for to have your '2G' status verified and to scan your badge. Your badge will be emailed to you the week before OEB, so that you can print it at home to minimise contact and waiting times. Our registration desk is open from 08:00 to 18:00 and if you cannot print your badge, there will – of course – be printing stations you can use.
