Ossiannilsson is Professor in innovation and open online learning. She is an independent expert, quality reviewer, and researcher in the fields of open and distance learning. She is the V President of the Swedish Association for Distance Education, and a board member in Job and Skills Coalition Sweden. She is in ICDE, and EDEN Executive Committee, in addition, she is a quality reviewer at ICDE and EADTU, the chair of the ICDE OER Advocacy Committee, and ICDE OER Ambassador. Ossiannilsson is a member of ICoBC and Chair the Committee for Taxonomy and Quality Grid. She works for the European Commission, UNESCO; COL, and ITCILO.
