Creating a Learning Loop, Resolving Skills Gaps with AI and Learning Experiences
Inge de Waard (PhD) is currently leading the learning part of an InnoEnergy project that alleviates skill and competency gaps by combining Artificial Intelligence (AI, specifically Natural Language Processing), Human Resources (HR), learning analytics to provide a personalised learning trajectory (including micro-credits, blockchain in education, informal and formal learning options...). This project combines the expertise of people working at InnoEnergy, The Open University (UK), FutureLearn and many European University partners working on renewable energy.
Since 1999, Inge has set-up, coordinated and developed several innovative online, blended and mobile learning projects, always with a focus on participation and durability. These projects involved partners and individuals from both the Northern (Canada, United States, Italy, Belgium, Ireland, Germany, UK) and Southern regions (South-Africa, India, Peru, Morocco). As an avid enthusiast of open science, she is an active international speaker giving keynotes and guest lectures, as well as providing and receiving knowledge input through seminars, SIGs and workshops.
Enlightened by the first connectivist MOOCs, she set up the first MOOC on mobile learning, called MobiMOOC (2011 & 2012). This was a community and project-oriented MOOC, enabling international learners to realize their own project by the end of the MOOC.
Her core sentiment on learning is: “I have come to realize that there is no single solution for all. The diversity which is at the core of nature’s success, is replicated by the diversity in learning preferences and ways to achieve learning success in humans”. She loves to exchange ideas, so feel free to talk to her.

Bridging the Gap: Towards AI-based Continuous Curriculum Improvement
Professor Theo Lynn is Professor of Digital Business at DCU Business School and is Director of the Irish Institute of Digital Business at DCU Business School. Professor Lynn specializes in the role of digital technologies in transforming business processes. His main teaching areas are strategy and digital marketing. He has been published widely including the European Journal of Marketing, Information, Communications and Society, the Journal of Distributed and Parallel Computing, the International Journal of Advertising, European Planning Studies and others. He is the Series Editor on the Palgrave Studies in Digital Business & Enabling Technologies. He is a regular speaker at both academic and industry conferences.
Previously, he was Principal Investigator of the Irish Centre for Cloud Computing and Commerce, an EI/IDA funded Cloud Computing Technology Centre (2011-2018), Associate Dean (Industry Engagement and Innovation) at DCU Business School (2015-2017), Business Innovation Platform Director for DCU (2015-2016) and Director of the Leadership, Innovation and Knowledge Research Centre at DCU (2009-2011). He has won over 200 grants representing over €15m in total project funding. He was a PI on the Horizon 2020 CloudLightning Project (2015-2017) and is currently a PI on the Horizon 2020 RECAP Project (2017-2019).
Professor Lynn received a Bachelor in Business and Legal Studies, an MBS (Management Information Systems) and a PhD (Law), all from University College Dublin. He has been a Visiting Professor to Tec de Monterrey (Mexico), Northeastern University (China), and Tongji University (China) amongst others. He has taught modules in corporate finance law and information systems and database design at UCD and digital marketing and business analytics at NUI Maynooth. Professor Lynn is an Expert Evaluator for the European Commission.
Professor Lynn has founded a number of companies incl. Enki Information Systems, Educational Multimedia Group and Atomic Assets, the businesses of which have been acquired by Rochford Brady Group, Intuition and Cambridge University Press respectively. He advises a number of domestic and international companies.

I am a professor at the Silkeborg branch of Dania Academy in Denmark (www.eadania.com), and my main areas of expertise are applied statistics, survey methodology and more specifically web survey methodology. More recently, I have taken a keen interest in digital learning as the head of your online financial manager study program. I teach business students in all three subjects. My latest research project were aimed at analyzing the dynamics of personal relations between bank counsellors and their customers, specifically aimed at the process of financing of private purchases of real estate. Previously I have worked at the Danish Librarian School and at Aalborg University. In my non-working time, I like to fly fish and have visited places like Argentina, Canada, Botswana and Greenland.
I am 58 years old and lives with my wife in Randers, Denmark.
