Robot Programming - Getting a Taste and Getting Your Class Started with Coding

In this Tech Lab you will learn how to control robots through graphical programming and drive commands via block-based or even JavaScript text programming. You will discover the basic concepts of programming and receive tips and ideas to pass them on to students in your classroom. We'll close with a Q & A session with our coding experts. Jana Blanck studied Scandinavian Studies and German Studies at Humboldt University of Berlin. While living in Sweden, she taught young adults who were lacking basic school degrees and helped them to find a career pathway. Afterwards, she worked in the Technology/Telecommunications industry for more than 5 years. In May 2018, she joined the CODE team, helping to educate the digital pioneers of tomorrow.
Adam Roe
Software Engineering Educator, Code University of Applied Sciences, Germany
Adam Roe joined CODE University of Applied Science as a lecturer in the summer of 2018. He has previously worked in a myriad of fields. Most recently, he was the CTO of Kiron, a social startup dedicated to enabling refugees to access to higher education. He had previously spent several years doing research as a particle physicist at CERN and at other particle accelerators, and has also worked as a photojournalist. He was born and raised in New York City, and has been living in Berlin since 2012.
