Interactive Breakout Session EDT71
We Need to Talk about Bots…
Date Friday, Dec 8 Time – RoomCharlottenburg 1
We need to have a conversation about bots. About user needs and user experiences. And about how we will be interacting with chat-bots more and more. Experts in the field will lead the session with their views and experiences.
In We Need to Talk about Bots… Donald Clark will show how chatbots can be used in learner engagement, teaching support, teaching knowledge, tutor feedback, scenario-based learning, critical thinking and assessment. He will show real examples, as well as some bot successes and fails - botched bots - and explain the options in terms of production.
Federico Giacanelli of CINECA will share his work and views on Getting Closer to Students by (Automatic) Chatting - A University Case Study with Cognitive Computing
