Panel Presentation Session EDT55
Multinational Perspectives on Next-generation Digital Learning Environments
Date Friday, Dec 8 Time –
Over the past decade and a half, the LMS has emerged as the enterprise answer to the delivery of education. Through these excellent products, institutions were able to manage the impact of ICTs in education by offering a single system for supporting the rudimentary functions of online education. But times are changing. Worldwide, higher education institutions face common challenges regarding these digital learning environments. How can they support the latest educational needs with the right tools at the right time? And, since students and staff demand increasing choice to use the tools that work best for them, how can IT organisations in higher education allow increasing freedom of choice without losing control over essential data? In this session, thought leaders from different countries will present their work to advance NGDLE architecture and technologies.
