Dr. Augustine Mwangi

Dr. Augustine Mwangi Gatotoh is an educationist with over 17 years of experience. He is currently a Senior lecturer at the Faculty of Education, University of Nairobi, Kenya. Augustine holds a PhD in Distance Education from the University of Nairobi. In addition, he has undertaken short courses in Digital Education, From the Open University, UK, and Community Development from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He has vast experience in various areas of education, including instructional design, distance education systems strengthening, digital courseware development, curriculum design, and Integration of ICTs in teaching and learning.
Before his current appointment, he served as the Acting Principal Instructional Designer, Courseware Development & Production at the University of Nairobi. In addition, he was the Country Project Lead for the Digital Universities in Africa, a study on the stories of innovation gathered from educators in Ghana, Kenya and Nigeria as part of a British Council-funded research project led by INASP in 2021. He has also been a researcher with the Pan-African Research Agenda on the Pedagogical Integration of ICTs (PanAf), 2011, a joint initiative of the Educational Research Network for West and Central Africa (ERNWACA) and the University of Montreal (Canada). He was also a member of the Kenyan Research Team that developed the National Report on the State of Youth and adult learning in 2008.
He has published in peer-reviewed journals and disseminated research findings in workshops, conferences and other academic fora. He has consulted widely in digital learning and pedagogical integration of ICT in education in various countries, including Kenya, South Sudan, Uganda, Malawi, Zambia and Lesotho.

Matt James has over 20 years' experience of working with schools and educational organisations around the world, developing strategy in complex environments, implementing change, developing and delivering products and balancing the needs of external stakeholders and customers. He has taught English, Media and Film Studies and held leadership roles at the International Baccalaureate, Fieldwork Education and Cambridge University Press & Assessment, where he has had a focus on professional development and support for teachers. In his current role as Head of Online Education, he leads Cambridge's work with online schools.

Dr. Jolly Bhadra is a material scientist. Currently she is Senior Module Development and Publication Specialist in Young Scientist Center, Qatar University. She is also mentoring several STEM workshop for K-12 students. During her research career she had a wide experience in the synthesis of verities of materials, such as polymers, conducting polymers, hydrogels, metal ions and nanoparticles. She also gained expertise in a large number of characterization methods for morphological, electrical, mechanical, thermal and rheological studies. She has also had a hand on experience on the fabrication of electronic devices, including Field Effect Transistor (FET), thermo-electric generator, supercapacitor and chemical gas Sensors. She is the winner of 2021 IPITEX, Bronze Category. During her research career she has published more than 55 journal, conference papers and book chapters that includes both scientific and STEM. She has been the part of 6 UREP, 3 NPRP QNRF funded projects as PI/LPI and hold many in many other research grants funded by Qatar University.

A multi-award-winning International journalist, with extensive experience in reporting on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) , Environment, Human Rights and other developmental subjects, locally and internationally. Glory has in the past led a number of initiatives and media organisations, as Chairperson or/and cordinator, including those specialised in ICTs.

In addition, she also managed and developed major companies such as Geranos SA, OTE Academy (Greek Telecommunications Academy) and others.

Amongst many awards and recognitions, she has been awarded by the Ministry of Digital Governance for her significant contribution to digital transformation in Greece’s public sector and beyond. This important recognition highlights her important role in establishing management systems and the use of databases in the early 1990s, which spearheaded the sustainability and connectivity of private, academic and public sectors in Greece.

She is Honorary president of SEN/Junior Achievement Greece (founding member) and honorary president of the Association of Chief Executive Officers (EASE), ex-member of the IOBE and ex-President A.L.B.A Business University. She holds a BSc and MSc in Computer Science and Management - London University.
