Educational Design Patterns and the Academic Digital Skills of Students

In this Learning Café you will try out a rapid design method for creating Educational Design Patterns (EDPs). The concept of EDP covers a method to capture best practices from educators and other experts and disseminate these into concrete educational design patterns and activities. Participants will get an understanding of a collaborative method to develop learning design patterns and they will get inspiration to work with academic digital skills within a framework of four core categories.

Outcomes

• Didactic design in the format of educational design patterns.
• A rapid collaborative method to create the first draft of an Educational Design Pattern.
• Exploring new ways of collaborating on academic digital skills.
