
Rebecca Stromeyer

Rebecca Stromeyer has been actively involved in digital learning, EdTech and international education for over three decades. As the Managing Director and Founder of ICWE GmbH and co-founder and co-owner of ICEF GmbH since 1991, she has played a key role in establishing well-known conference, exhibitions and B2B and B2G events in these fields.
She co-founded OEB Global in 1995 and has been involved in launching other education and training events, including ONLINE EDUCA MADRID in 2000, as well as similar initiatives in Iceland (2017), Russia (2015), Singapore (1997), Korea (1996), and the Arab world (2003). In 2005, she founded eLearning Africa, which has since become a leading conference and exhibition on digital learning and skills development in Africa.
Rebecca has served as an advisor to international organisations and has been a board member of groups such as the International Council on Badges and Credentials and the Drucker Society. She was also Vice-Chair of the Global Business School Network and has worked with the Global Development Learning Network.
In 2012, she launched the eLearning Africa Report, providing insights into digital learning and ICT developments across the continent. Her work continues to focus on education, skills development, and the role of technology in learning.
