Sharan Chandradath Singh is a Managing Director at the Minerva Project with responsibility for Strategic Partnerships. He is an accomplished Higher Education leader with significant experience in developing strategic collaborations between Universities, Governments, Multilateral Organizations and the Private Sector.
Minerva Project is a leading educational innovator, providing top-tier higher education offerings to the Minerva Schools at KGI and other educational partners around the world by enabling institutions and organizations of all types and sizes to significantly improve learning outcomes for their students. Minerva's mission is to nurture critical wisdom for the sake of the world.
Prior to the Minerva Project, Sharan was the Director of Institutional Advancement & Internationalization at the University of the West Indies (UWI), a large regional University in the Caribbean operating across 17 countries. In this role, he designed and developed the Internationalization, Fundraising, Alumni Affairs and Commercialization functions and played a central role in advancing the University’s global competitiveness which resulted, amongst other accomplishments, in a first-time THE Global Ranking in 2018.
Before joining the UWI, Sharan was a Senior Consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consulting where he led teams of experienced consultants in large-scale transformational projects in both the public and private sectors.
Sharan is a student of emerging and disruptive technologies and is often asked to speak about the impact that they will have on the future of Education. He holds Master’s degrees in International Administration and International Business and a Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Spanish and Business. He has lived in Trinidad, which is his native country, England, Canada, India and the United States and has worked extensively across the globe.
