Tiana completed her B.Soc.Sc in 2003 (cum laude) and B.Soc.Sc Honours (Industrial Psychology) in 2004 (cum laude) at the University of the Free State (UFS), after which she completed a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology at the University of the Northwest (NWU) in 2005 and a Master’s degree in Higher Education Studies at the UFS in 2013.

Tiana is appointed as Head: Curriculum Delivery and Innovation within the Centre for Teaching and Learning. Her research interest focus on the understanding teaching and learning needs of faculty and students in a South African context, and how technology and innovative high impact course design and assessment practices can assist in addressing these issues.  In the past 5 years she has presented numerous papers at international and national conferences focusing on these issues.  She is currently completing her PhD that focus on women leadership development in the area of instructional technology.
