Alec Serlie
Research Director, GITP-Research, The Netherlands
Alec W. Serlie is Research Director at GITP, one of the largest HRM-consultancy firms of the Netherlands. He is also assistant professor at the department of Work & Organizational Psychology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. Educated as a cognitive and medical psychologist, he has extensive experience both in psychological and organizational consultancy. His work is mainly focused on developing new practical tools, for recruitment, selection and training purposes. His recent research focusses on the notion of Corporate Personality and the fit between individuals and the organization which they work in. Furthermore, his line of research is focused on the use of Social Media in selection-setting. Previous research, together with fellow-researchers, has been on a general personality factor, validity of new selection methods, video resumes and the Dark Side of Psychology.
