Ella Hamonic

Ella Hamonic joined the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP-UNESCO), in 2023 as a Learning Designer. Graduated from Sciences Po Lille, she supports teaching teams in the creation of both online and face-to-face training, as well as in the training of trainers. She facilitates collaboration between learners, instructors, and technical teams to develop innovative teaching tools. From 2013 to 2023, she worked as an international expert in online pedagogies with UCLouvain (Belgium), Télécom Paris-Institut Polytechnique de Paris (France), Dartmouth College (USA), the University Carlos III of Madrid (Spain) and Coursera (USA). She has presented her research on online education at international conferences, including MIT, Columbia University, and UC San Diego. In 2016, she was nominated for the edX Prize for Exceptional Contributions to Online Teaching and Learning, and in 2019, her team won the edX Prize for a series of course that focused particularly on the inclusion of women in computer programming.
