Learning transfer goes beyond acquiring knowledge - it’s about applying insights within complex professional ecosystems. This interactive session introduces visual landscape mapping, a tool to situate learning within work environments and uncover actors, resources, relationships, and opportunities for applied learning. Experiment with analogue and digital mapping approaches to explore how knowledge is used, shared, and integrated over time, and leave with strategies to translate learning into meaningful practice.
Simon Skårhøj
Capacity Development Advisor and Doctoral Researcher, Aalborg University
Simon Skårhøj is a capacity development advisor and doctoral researcher at the Danida Fellowship Center (DFC), a Danish government organization responsible for 30–40 large-scale learning programs supporting partners in growth and developing countries under the Danish Development Cooperation. With extensive experience in international development and learning innovation, he has worked with the United Nations and spent a decade at a major Danish NGO, where he founded and directed a learning innovation unit and global learning network. His work focuses on enhancing capacity-building strategies, fostering cross-sectoral collaboration, and advancing innovative approaches to knowledge transfer and professional learning.
