Sander is responsible for the product strategy and development of the Moodle Learning Management System, the world's most customisable and trusted open source LMS. Having joined Moodle in late 2017, Sander has overseen important developments of the platform from a data privacy and accessibility perspective, and established accessible software development practices across the organisation. Since then, Sander has led a transformation of Moodle LMS, through a renewed focus on user-centred design principles (UCD) which, commencing from Moodle 4.0, has redefined the user experience to deliver better outcomes for both educators and learners.
