Marsha Wagner

Program Director, Topsector Energy, The Netherlands

Marsha is an independent consultant specialised in lifelong learning and in strategic public-private partnerships and developed this concept to be implemented into vocational education and universities. She participates in several advisory boards on these subjects. She has a background in artificial intelligence and previously worked as a director at an university. She has been running the Human Capital Agenda of the Top Sector Energy (TSE) for six years. TSE is a public-private cooperation, which focuses on the national sustainability goals, as defined in the climat agreement of July 2018. The Human Capital Agenda concerns the labour-market challenges that inhibit realising these goals. Marsha works on a national research program on lifelong learning in cooperation with the NWO (Dutch Organisation of Scientific Research). She developed 'learning communities' (learning - working - innovation) to keep the development of professionals in step with the speed of technological innovations. Currently, she leads its implementation. In october she launched a nationwide public-private program 'De Uitdaging' (= the challenge) for vocational and university trainingprograms in learning communities in order to speed up the energy transition.
