Paulyn Duman

Paulyn Duman is the Knowledge Management, Communications and Reporting Officer at the United Nations System Staff College (UNSSC) Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development, where started working in 2014. At the UNSSC, she worked in the design and development of online courses and the integration of learning technologies in the programmes. She is the UNSSC coordinator for UN SDG:Learn, which is a United Nations initiative that aims to bring relevant and curated learning solutions on sustainable development topics to individuals and organizations. She also designed and developed an interactive 360-degree immersive learning experience on a city undergoing transformative changes towards a more sustainable future. 

Before working for the United Nations, she worked as a lawyer and supervising political affairs officer at the House of Representatives, where she conducted legal research and drafted guidelines related to education, transportation, and legislative franchises. Before joining the public sector, she worked in companies such as JP Morgan Chase Bank and Energy Development Corporation from 2006 to 2009.

Paulyn has a Master of Public Policy degree from the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin, where she focused on organizational strategies for sustainable development, policy processes in developing countries, and migration. She also has a Juris Doctor (Master’s) and a BA Psychology degree from the University of the Philippines – Diliman, where she focused on law, environmental justice and social psychology.
