CODE University: Tour and Meetup
CODE is a newly founded private university of applied sciences that is embedded into the vibrant network of Berlin’s digital economy. Unlike a typical university, it is located inside one of the largest startup campuses in Europe – the Factory Berlin. The campus is a unique place for young talents to bring their ideas to life integrated into a community space and surrounded by hundreds of entrepreneurs, successful startups and inspiring digital pioneers. Join us for a meetup at Factory with CODE University’s students. This institution’s approach is to present learners with inspiring challenges that spark ambition and skills. Film Screening of Breakthrough followed by Q&A with the Director
There are nearly 50 million children in public school in the United States and a large percentage of them are not getting the education they need and deserve. Efforts to reform the existing system in the country have repeatedly resulted in incremental change at best - and educators are understandably frustrated by the fact that the system is built to resist significant change at any level. This documentary will show you a concerted effort to innovate school from the ground level up. The team behind it hopes that teachers, principals and reformers will be inspired to take a risk to reinvent their own schools. Sit back… and engage!
