Dirk Verweij

Dirk is TrainTool’s Director of Business Development for the education sector. Prior to his role at TrainTool, he had a successful career at Pearson, the world’s largest educational publisher.
At TrainTool Dirk follows his two true passions: helping people to improve their communication and soft skills and supporting the education sector in implementing e-learning materials in their curriculum.
Dirk holds an MA degree in English Language and Literature (Leiden University and University of York). After his graduation, he covered various international sales roles at Pearson and was responsible for delivering custom-made materials (books, e-books, e-learning platforms) to higher education institutions.
In his current role, he is responsible for partnerships across the education sector and consults most Dutch and an increasing number of international universities on online academic communication skills development.
Happy students and happy lecturers is what he aims for – and good communication skills are essential for reaching that goal.
