A cultural studies graduate, she began her career in daily journalism before joining a software company in 1999, where she managed financial communications after its IPO. Since becoming self-employed in 2005, she has written for leading professional magazines and moderated conferences and online events on learning and development. She is part of the editorial team of *neues lernen*, writes the E-Learning column for *haufe.de*, and is a member of the Think Tank Corporate Learning of Zukunft Personal.
