HomeNewsTAGIUNI – meeting the learning needs of a changing world December 18, 2012 News With the vision of making “world class education accessible to everyone, everywhere,” the Talal Abu-Gazaleh University (TAGIUNI) is seeking to enter into partnership agreements with prestigious universities to create a new model for education. The TAGIUNI already works with leading educational institutions such as Cambridge International Examinations, University of Cambridge, the Confucius Institute (China) and the British Council to offer jointly-administered, accessible and world-class accredited certification and degree programs to students around the world. TAGIUNI was founded by Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh following the very successful establishment in 2006 of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB) at the German Jordanian University in Amman, Jordan and the establishment in 2012 of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College of Business (TAGUCB) in Bahrain. The TAGIUNI, which has been established as the corporate university of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAGORG), uses its substantial local and global resources to promote and deliver the programs of partner universities, as well as to recruit students meeting the admission criteria and provide student support services. By working in partnership with these leading universities and institutions, TAGIUNI has adopted a model that is uniquely designed to meet the learning needs of a changing world. A key aim across all of the innovative academic and professional programs offered by the TAGIUNI, which range from economic development to ICT-based vocational training and high-school diplomas, is to prepare qualified and professional business leaders with the necessary skills to compete in the global economy. This model also enables partner universities to increase their enrolment by making their programs available to qualified students worldwide. The former Chairman of the United Nations Global Alliance for ICT and Development (UN-GAID), TAGIUNI’s founder and president Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh currently serves on the World Trade Organization (WTO) Panel of Experts for defining the future of world trade (including education) and is committed to helping achieve the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals in education through TAGIUNI.
