Planning ahead for a new learning culture

Saudi Arabia has embarked on a twenty-year strategic plan to increase the citizenry’s participation in higher education and to turn the country into a knowledge-based society. Making this migration necessarily entails an overhaul of dated educational paradigms and the adoption of e-learning practices in formal and informal training. Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Minister for Educational Affairs, Dr Mohammad Al-Ohali, spoke to ONLINE EDUCA about the country’s vision and the specific strides they are taking to build their expertise from the ground up.
