\"\"<\/a>One of the most senior figures in the British security establishment and the leader of the UK Government\u2019s fight against online threats to business will be a keynote speaker at this year\u2019s \u2018Security and Defence Learning.\u2019 Baroness Neville-Jones is the Prime Minister\u2019s Special Representative to Business on Cyber Security. A former Minister of State for Security and Counter-Terrorism, she also served as Chairman of the Joint Intelligence Committee.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She will join other security and training experts in the opening session of SDL for a discussion about new threats to information and data security. The discussion is likely to focus on training and learning strategies to enable companies and organisations to prepare effectively, so that they can overcome the new challenges that confront them. It will discuss a range of important information security issues, such as data outsourcing, cloud computing and encryption.<\/p>\n

Other speakers in the session will include Joachim Posegga, Chair of IT-Security, Institute for IT Security and Security Law (ISL) at the University of Passau, and Marcus Klische, BlackBerry\u2019s Security Advisor. They will discuss a range of important information security issues, such as data outsourcing, cloud computing and encryption.<\/p>\n

Dr Harold Elletson, Chairman of the New Security Foundation, which is hosts the annual Security and Defence Learning Forum, said: \u201cI am delighted that Pauline Neville-Jones will be joining us for the Forum. She is one of the most respected and experienced people in the world of security and intelligence. I am also very pleased that Marcus Klische of BlackBerry and Julia Schaub of the BSI will be taking part.
