\"\"<\/a>Building the school of the future: With the new School Forum \u2013 the Berlin Forum on Technology and Learning Trends for Schools, OEB aims to create a central meeting point for teachers and headteachers interested in qualified and exciting e-learning projects. By gaining insights from renowned experts, as well as inspiring and sharing knowledge with each other, educators can broaden their horizons and explore new ways of successfully employing e-learning in the classroom. Many hands-on activities will help them to personally explore \u201chow it really works\u201d. OEB project leader Annemieke Akkermans says that \u201cwith the new School Forum which offers intense and attractive training possibilities for teachers, OEB wants to reach out to those responsible for our children’s education.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n

<\/strong>What type of classroom activities help to prepare students for the future? How can e-learning drive informal and collaborative learning? What about using podcasts, wikis and blogs as learning tools? And: Do we know where to find appropriate open educational resources? Questions such as these are at the centre of the new ONLINE EDUCA BERLIN conference forum, taking place on Wednesday, December 2nd, 2009.<\/div>\n

This event, dedicated to ICT for primary and secondary school headteachers, as well as interested teachers is organised in conjunction with BITS 21 im fjs e.V and HELLIWOOD media. Both are leading organisations in the field of teacher training <\/a> and new media in the Berlin area and work closely with school officials, as well as with leading e-learning experts. Inspiring speakers will introduce, explain and discuss the latest developments and trends in education and technology. Among the topics will be e-learning projects for primary education, establishing e-learning tools in natural sciences, as well as security aspects in ICT and internet usage. Practical and interactive sessions will support the implementation of useful ICT tools and resources in educational institutions.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Running parallel to the lectures, discussions and interactive learning sessions will be a special exhibition area where School Forum participants can share ideas as they gain insights into current regional projects. In addition, attendees are welcome to visit the OEB exhibition where international e-learning providers will demonstrate their latest products and services.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The half-day forum (12:00 \u2013 18:00) will be offered to headteachers and teachers from all primary and secondary schools in Berlin and Brandenburg. International expansion is already planned. It will be free of charge for teachers and teacher trainees.<\/p>\n
